China natural rubber imports surge 23.5% on month in August

China imported 210,000 metric tons of natural rubber in August, a surge of 23.5% compared with that logged in July, according to the statistics the General Administration of Customs published on its website on Monday.
During the first eight months,China’s natural rubber imports amounted to 1.37 million metric tons, up 13.7% year on year.
China is the world’s largest rubber consumer.
