In January-July,China’s aluminum alloy wheel exports gained 4.8% year on year to 477,300 metric tons, valued at 2.234 billion US dollars, a surge of 12.4% over the corresponding period of 2011. The average price stood at 4.68 US dollars/kg, 0.32 US dollars/kg more than a year earlier.
China’s export value of aluminum alloy wheels reached 338 million US dollars in July 2012, up 4.6% year on year.
The country delivered 73,700 metric tons of such wheels to overseas markets in July, a slight increase of 0.4% year on year, with average price at 4.59 US dollars per kilogram, up 0.19 US dollars/km from the same period of last year.
China’s domestically produced alloy wheels were sold to 170 countries or regions around the world in the first seven months of this year.

During the first seven months of this year, the value of alloy wheels exported to the above 20 countries or regions totaled 2.018 billion US dollars, accounting for 90.3% of China’s total alloy wheel exports during the period.
Also in the first seven months of 2012, there were a total of 2,445 tire makers that delivered alloy wheels to overseas markets.

The above 20 enterprises realized combined export value of 1.288 billion US dollars in the first seven months of this year, accounting for 57.7% of China’s total aluminum alloy wheel exports, while the Top 100 wheel exporting enterprises posted combined export value of 1.930 billion US dollars during the period, representing 86.4% of China’s total.
