China August tire output down 1.8% on year

China's tire production reached 73.62 million units in August, a drop of 1.8% on year, the National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday (September 11, 2012).
In the first eight months of this year, China produced a total of 574.32 million tires, up 4.2% on year, according to the NBS.
