China's tire production keeps growth in Q'1

China produced 74,758,500 units of tires in March, year-on-year increasing 3.49%, according to latest statistics from National Bureau of Statistics of China.

 In the first three months, China produced 19.75 million units of tires, rising by 6.8% compared to the same period in 2011. Amongst, radial tires’ production reached 47.31% of the total to 93,440,000 units in the first quarter.
 
According to provincial production, Shandong Province is no doubt the major tire producer in China. Shandong produced 70.988 million units of tires in the first quarter in 2012, yearly growing 7.26%. Its production accounts for 35.94% of the total production in China. Following provinces are Jiangsu Province (18.57%), Zhejiang Province (11.6%) and Guangdong Province (6.5%).
