Argentina imposes anti-dumping tariff on China-made rubber balloon

Argentine government declared Nov. 24 to impose an anti-dumping tariff of 97% on rubber balloon imported from China, effective for 5 years.

The investigation application was submitted by Argentina’s toy industrial chamber.

The organization claimed that China-made rubber-balloon hurt the production and sales of local counterparts.

Last Dec., Argentine authority published the No.775 Resolution in 2016, preliminarily deciding to impose a temporary anti-dumping tariff of 5.5 U.S. dollars/kg on rubber balloon imported from China.

Argentina launched 11 anti-dumping probes against Chinese products in 2016.
