Recently, Thailand Customs released its rubber production and export data.
Statistics showed that there were 2,250,000 tons of natural rubber in the first half year of 2020, yearly decreasing 1.8%.
Amongst, ribbed smoked sheet(short in RSS) yearly deceased 12.7%, and standard rubber year-on-year increased 5%. Meanwhile, rubber production also decreased 1.4% at the same time, and compounded rubber yearly down by 7.3%.
During the first seven months, the country exported 2,529,500 tons of natural rubber, year-on-year decreasing 4.62%. In July, the country exported 306,900 tons of natural rubber, monthly decreasing 24,200 tons and yearly sliding 8.49%.
Amongst, there were 140,600 tons of compounded rubber exported, monthly jumping 17.86%, but yearly surging 190.3%. And dry rubber and natural rubber export respectively increased 2.8% and 6.37%
On the side of natural rubber sales, there were 318,000 tons of natural rubber in the first half year, yearly climbing up 4.1%. Amongst, sales of ribbed smoke sheet surged 77%, and of standard rubber increased 35%, but rubber and compounded rubber respectively declining 44% and 84%.
In second quarter of 2020, natural rubber inventory in Thailand continued deceasing. By the end of June, the inventory has declined to 385,000 tons, yearly down by 17% and monthly down by 27%.
