Cambodia's rubber exports up 21%

A General Directorate of Rubber report revealed on Sunday, November 29, that Cambodia exported 242,922 tons of dry rubber in the first 10 months of this year, increased 21 percent over the same period in 2019.

The kingdom made gross income of USD318 million from exports of the product throughout the January-October period this year, increased 19.6 percent over the same period in 2019, the report revealed.

Pol Sopha, director general of the General Directorate of Rubber, stated in the report "A ton of dry rubber averagely cost 1,311 U.S. dollars during the first 10 months of this year, about 19 dollars lower than that of the same period last year".

The Southeast Asian nation exports the commodity mostly to Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China.
