Vietnam's revenue of rubber exports decline in 8 months

Vietnam exported 867,000 tons of rubber worth over USD1.2 billion between January and August, up 7.9 percent in volume but down 12.1 percent on-year in value.

According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, China remained Vietnam's biggest rubber export market in the eight-month period, followed by India and Malaysia.

During the cited period, the country imported some 384,000 tons of rubber worth USD705 million, up 11.9 percent in volume but down 1.4 percent in value.

Vietnam sold overseas nearly 1.4 million tons of rubber valued at roughly USD2.3 billion in 2017, seeing respective year-on-year rises of 11.4 percent and 36 percent.
