Chinese tire framework materials oversupplied in 2017

Framework Materials Committee of China Rubber Industry Association made a survey on 36 member companies, which showed that there were 2,350,000 tons of steel cord, 820,000 tons of bead wires, 254,000 tons of nylon cord fabrics and 254,000 tons of polyester cord fabrics in 2017.

In 2017, China produced 653 million units of tires. There are 613 million units of radial tires and 41 million units of bias tire。

Between radial tires, there are 131 million units of full-steel tires, and 482 million units of half-steel tires.

In that case, there were 164,000 tons of polyester cord fabrics, 178,000 tons of nylon cord fabrics, 1,957,000 tons of steel cord and 756,000 tons of bead wires needed in 2017.
