Tire industry develops rapidly in Linyi

Tire industry in Linyi city of Shandong province developed rapidly over the past few years.

As the stable development of the auto, transportation, and engineering machinery sectors, market demand for tire products increase and the tire industry starts to boom.

In 2016, large-scale tire producers in Linyi reached 12, whose total output value reached 10.87 billion yuan, accounting for 1% of the city’s large-scale industrial output.

Last year, the city’s tire producers’ main business revenue totaled 9.7 billion yuan, with the profits reaching 480 million yuan.

In addition, Linyi’s output of cover tires totaled 41.64 million, including 38.54 million radial tires, accounting for more than 15% of China’s total.

Last year, the output value of large-scale tire producers in Linyi rose 66.3% year on year, contributing 0.4 percentage points to the city’s output value growth.

The city’s outputs of cover tires and radial tires surged 126% and 158%, respectively, year on year in 2016.

In the first quarter of this year, the output value of Linyi’s tire producers totaled 2.16 billion yuan, up 72.2% year on year.
