Guangrao county aims to cultivate 3 top tire makers
Guangrao county of Dongying city, Shandong province aims to cultivate three global leading tire firms and encourages local firms to carry out R&D and production of tire auxiliary materials.
In order to achieve such goals, the local government of Guangrao county has established a 10-billion-yuan industry fund. It also plans to attract 400 premium talents in three years with 30 million yuan per year.
The local government has built platforms such as tire expo, test center and testing ground, in order to lift the status of Guangrao in the tire industry.
Also, the local government of Guangrao aims to draw about 80 scientific and research institutions of province level and above to set up branches in Guangrao, to carry out deep cooperation in R&D with local tire firms.
Song Xuehua, head of the local government of Guangrao, said the local tire industry should enhance concentration by mergers and acquisitions and pace up in upgrading new products.
