Tire Industry Works on Assessment System for Clean Production

The Assessment Indicator System for Clean Production of Rubber Industry and the Seminar for Clean Production Technology of Rubber Industry will be held in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Sep. 7-9.

China Rubber Industry Association has been working with industrial experts on drafting the Assessment Indicator System for Clean Production of Tire Industry, the Assessment Indicator System for Clean Production of Additive Industry, and the Assessment Indicator System for Clean Production of Reclaimed Rubber Industry.

Zhongce Rubber, Sentury Tire, Xingyuan Group, Prinx Chengshan, Tongyong Tyre, and Guizhou Tyre all participated in constituting the guidelines.

The seminar will review the proposals of the assessment indicator systems of tire and additive industries, and discuss the draft of the Assessment Indicator System for Clean Production of Reclaimed Rubber Industry.

Experts will also explain the Action Plan on Volatile Organic Compound Reduction of Key Industries and discuss some topics, such as the waste gas, waste water and solid waste reduction of the rubber industry as well as solutions to clean production.

According to CRIA, constituting the aforesaid three systems are key moves of the rubber industry in carrying out the Clean Production Promotion Act and the Circular on Publishing and Distribution of Action Plan on Volatile Organic Compound Reduction of Key Industries.

The move will urge the rubber industry to reduce the generation and emission of volatile organic compounds to meet the requirement for clean production.

The seminar will be organized by CIRA and facilitated by Guilin Institute of Rubber Design, with participation of relevant sectors.
