Electrostatic Dissipative Graphene Products Appear in Qingdao

The 2016 China International Graphene Innovation Conference was held on Sep. 22-24 in Qingdao.

On the opening ceremony of the event, the International Advanced Carbon Materials Exposition also opened and set up a special platform for graphene materials.

Nearly a hundred high-tech achievements related to graphene were exhibited in the expo, including new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, thermal management, composite materials, biochemical, and electronics and information sectors.

An electrostatic dissipative graphene tire was exhibited in the expo and drew wide attention from the audiences.

Ordinary tires are made from rubber and are not conductive, while the tire model is capable of discharging static.

While embedding in metal wheel hubs, the tires are capable of preventing dangers induced by static. It is particularly useful for trucks carrying inflammable and explosive items.

Andre Geim, the discoverer of graphene and Nobel Prize winner, appeared in the expo and he brought the composite graphene materials and technology developed by his team.
