Business benefits of China’s rubber companies diverged in the first half of this year and about 20% companies suffered losses, according to China Rubber Industry Association.
In the first five months of this year, industry outputs of the 389 companies included in the survey of CRIA dropped 5.37% year on year; their sales revenues decreased 7.68%; and the value of export delivery lessened 7.85%.
At the same time, taxes paid by the 329 key companies (excluding rubber chemicals and wheel hub producers) declined 3.64%; their profits climbed 1.55%; and the margin of the sales revenues was 5.26%.
Sixty-seven companies suffered losses, with the number up 28.85% from the same period of 2015; but their total losses dropped 4.38% to 608 million yuan.
Sales revenues of tire, cycle tire, hose and tape, rubber shoes, latex, and carbon black sectors also experienced year on year decline.
