Chakramont Pasukavanich, minister of Thailand's Industry Ministry, recently said that there were eight Chinese companies plan to invest in Thailand to build up rubber process plants.
It is said that there were three companies' investment aprroved by the government, with a total investment of 269 million bht.
It is said that there will be 2.2 million units/year of production capacity after completion.
Nowadays, rubber consumption in Thailand is only 560,000 tons/year. After new plants come into operation, rubber consumption will reach 1 million tons/year, which accounts for 25% of national production.
