Shandong establishes quality supervision centers

The Bureau of Quality Supervision in Guangrao, an important tire production base in Shandong Province, invested CNY 75 million to establish a Rubber Tire and Raw Material Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and a Wheel Brake Pads Supervision and Inspection Center.

After completion, the two centers have significantly improved local rubber tires and brake pads products’ qualified rate and market competitiveness, which helped ten enterprises such as Jinyu Group, Hengyu rubber Co. Ltd., etc. obtain the United States DOT certification and the European ECE certification respectively, and reach 99% of eligible rate.

Now, the two centers owned 180 different types of inspection equipments, which could inspect 2600 batches of all kinds of tires, 5000 batches of tire raw materials and 300 batches of wheels and brake pads every year. They also provide special subscription service for enterprises on technology research & development and product quality inspection.

The two centers is also striving for directly involved in formulating and revising national standards and industry standards for related industries, according to an official in the bureau.
