China's first outdoor tire test ground to settle in Yantai

China’s first large-scale outdoor tire test ground has begun construction in Yantai, Shandong Province, according to Tireworld reported.
The tire test ground, investd by Linglong Tire, costs CNY 1.13 billion and covers more than 200 mu.
Experts said that once the program puts into operation, it will fill the gap in China’s tire testing system and promote the whole industry’s self-research and development in China.
This program absorbs experience from global tire majors as Europe, USA, Japan and Korea, which cound spot monitor and do related experiments on more than 40 indexes of tire's performance, such as maneuverability, economy, and comfortableness, said Wang Feng, chairman of Linglong Tire Co., LTD.
It is said that the ground has been designated to hold 2012 China Truck Race this year.
