U.S. releases preliminary results on semi-steel tires

The U.S. Department of Commerce released the preliminary results of the first annual anti-dumping, anti-subsidy administrative review on passenger car and light truck tires imported from China.

The anti-dumping tax rates on Giti Tire, Qingdao Sentury, separate taxable companies, and companies not receiving separate rate status were 13.39%, 11.28%, 12.92%, and 87.99%.

And the anti-subsidy tax rates on Giti Tire, Cooper (Kunshan), Zhongce Rubber, and non selected companies under review were 25.12%, 14.56%, 89.78%, and 19.84%.

The investigation period for the anti-dumping review was from Jan. 27, 2015 to July 31, 2016; while that for anti-subsidy review was from Dec. 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2015.

According to the U.S. law, the preliminary results of anti-dumping review don’t take effect.

Concerning authority will settle anti-dumping and anti-subsidy taxes on products imported by the U.S. during the first review with respect to the results of the final ruling in Feb. 2018.
