Producers in tire industry fined for environmental issues

A number of enterprises in the tire sector were penalized for environmental issues.

Shandong Hawk International Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. was fined for 300,000 yuan for a number of issues.

Environmental protection officials discovered during their inspection that the tire producer directly emitted exhaust gases to the air.

The technical reform of its radial tire production line started operation without permission by the environment authority.

Moreover, it didn’t follow the environment authority’s guidance while restructuring the boilers.

Shandong Shuangwang Rubber Co., Ltd. received three tickets on Sept. 1 for environmental issues, fines totaled 172,700 yuan.

The producer’s 200,000-ton coal-fired boiler project was constructed and operated without applying for permission by the environment authority, and the boilers emitted exhaust gas without certification.

Jining Blackcat Carbon Black Co., Ltd. didn’t use the automatic air pollutant monitoring equipment as requested and was fined for 100,000 yuan in Aug.

Xiaoxing Steel Cord (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. was fined for 40,000 yuan for inappropriate disposal of hazardous waste in the production base.

Yusheng Rubber Machinery Factory was fined 18,000 yuan for constructing the lathing project without submitting the environmental impact assessment as required.

Shandong Xianglong Rubber Additive Co., Ltd. was fined for 20,000 yuan for providing hazardous materials to unqualified entity for commercial purpose.

This round of environmental protection storm has stuck the entire tire industry.
