Three More Chinese Firms Initiate Litigations in U.S. Court

Foreign media report said that following Qingdao Qihang Tyre’s suing U.S. Department of Commerce, another three Chinese firms initiated litigations in the U.S. Court of International Trade.

The three firms are Qingdao Free Trade Zone International Trade Co., Ltd. (Globe), Trelleborg Tire and Industry Products (Xingtai) Co., Ltd., and Xuzhou Xugong Tyres Co., Ltd.

Those companies were accused of dumping with a 70.55% anti-dumping tariff imposed by U.S. Department of Commerce.

The companies said the tariff calculation method applied by U.S. Department of Commerce had neither basis in fact nor adequate legal support.

U.S. Department of Commerce announced on April 20 that six Chinese tire companies were found to have dumped tires in the U.S. market under its anti-dumping probe against engineering tires imported from China and the authority decided to impose high anti-dumping tariff rate on the companies.

Media report said among the four Chinese companies lodging the complaints, at least three of them had won support from U.S. CIT.

According to U.S. federal law, companies disagreeing with the anti-dumping adjudication may raise an objection within 30 days after the adjudication.
