Shanghai rubber futures corrects, down 0.1pct

Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) ended slightly lower on Wednesday (June 25, 2014).

The most actively traded contract for September 2014 delivery ended at 15,220 yuan/metric ton, down 15 yuan or 0.1% from the previous settlement.

“Prospects have remained unclear for the export of Thailand’s major agricultural products in 2014, like tapioca, rice, rubber and shrimp,” said Pimonwan Mahujchariyawong on Monday, deputy managing director of Kasikorn Research Center, a renowned think tank in Thailand.
