Shanghai rubber ends tad higher on Wed.

Shanghai rubber

Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) ended a tad higher on Wednesday (August 7, 2013) amid choppy trading.

The most actively traded contract for January 2014 delivery ended at 18,280 yuan/metric ton, up 15 yuan or 0.08% from the previous settlement.

Corrections are expected in recent sessions on profit taking, said analysts, adding that investors would be prudent ahead of key economic data for July to be released in the following days.

China is scheduled to release its trade data for July on Thursday and other key data including CPI, PPI and industrial production data on Friday.
