Shanghai rubber falls, erasing earlier gains

Shanghai rubber

Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) retreated on Thursday (November 21, 2013), erasing gains recorded in the previous two sessions.

The most actively traded contract for May 2014 delivery ended at 19,195 yuan/metric ton, down 145 yuan or 0.75% from the previous settlement.

Analysts said the corrections were within expectations and noted that the Shanghai rubber would still face hefty downside pressure in the coming sessions.
