SHFE rubber ends lower for a third trading day on Tuesday

Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) settled lower for the third consecutive trading day on Tuesday (October 30, 2012).

The most actively traded contract for January 2013 delivery ended at 24,500 yuan/metric ton, down 115 yuan or 0.47%.

Traders have been closely watching the outcome of the Bank of Japan (BOJ)'s policy board meeting Tuesday. Market observers say the current rubber market will remain volatile as traders stay sharp in response to every fresh cue.
