SHFE rubber ends higher in tight range

Shanghai Futures Exchange rubber

Rubber futures traded on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) ended slightly higher after moving in tight range on Thursday (October 18, 2012) asChina's 3Q GDP numbers are in line with expectations.

The most actively traded contract for January 2013 delivery ended at 25,610 yuan/metric ton, up 270 yuan or 1.07%.

China’s economy grew 7.4% year on year in the third quarter of 2012, slower from 7.6% in the second quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
