The Unexpected Growth of Automobile Market Leads to Higher Target

The unexpected growth of Chinese automobile market gives enterprises more confident to reach sales target of this year. After coming into December, the sales has been nearly 20,000,000, which is the target of 2013. This may help automobile enterprises to challenge higher sales target next year.

As the representative of German cars, Volkswagen is the most radical brand in Chinese automobile market this year. In accordance with the data of Volkswagen, the sales from Jan. to Nov. in China had set up a record, which was 2.96 million cars. The year-on-year growth is nearly 17%. Volkswagen continues to be the automobile enterprise with highest sales. Its joint ventures, FAW-Volkswagen and Shanghai Volkswagen, have both set their sales target of 2013 as 1.5 million.

Shanghai General Motor also has set its sales target as 1.5 million. The sales from Jan. to Nov. have been 1.444 million. The year-on-year growth is 12.7%. Relying on brand influence, product identity and market capability, SGM will absolutely achieve the target of 1.5 million.

The sales of Ford advanced rapidly this year. The sales from Jan. to Nov. are 841,000 and the year-on-year growth is 51%. It is known Ford has brought in new models and expanded product lines. These all promote its sales in Chinese market this year. Its joint venture, Changan Ford had achieved the sales of 612,047 from Jan. to Nov. Ford is expected to challenge the sales target of 1 million.

By the models with high cost performance, Korean cars has been successful in sales and brand. The data shows that the total sales from Jan. to Nov. of Hyundai motors & Kia motors has been 1.43 million, which has exceed the sales of last year.

Beijing Hyundai has sold 932,962 cars from Jan. to Nov. whose year-on-year growth is 21.5%. It is expected to reach the sales of 1.03 million. Dongfeng Yueda Kia also performed well and is expected to reach the sales of 550,000.

French cars also profits from Chinese market. In July, DPCA had increased its sales target to 550,000 from 507,500. The data shows the year-on-year growth of DPCA from Jan. to Nov. is 25%. The sales of DPCA at present have exceeded the sales of last year. The target of 550,000 also deserves expectation.

For Chinese luxury cars market, the sales of luxury brands are satisfied and keep increasing, which are different from the situation of first half of this year. Near all luxury brands have reached their sales target at present.
