Indian natural rubber production falls sharply in July

Natural rubber production in India in July was down 32 % from the 68000 MT production in July last year, according to Rubber Board of India (RBI).

Cumulatively the production has seen a drop of almost 45000 MT during the first four months of the current fiscal year.

The consumption of natural rubber in July of this year went down marginally by 4%.

To meet the shortfall in domestic supplies, India’s natural rubber imports shot up by 39% during the month, according to the RBI.
