China auto imports down 9.2pct y-o-y in Jan-Aug, GAC

China auto import
China's automobile and chassis imports totaled 740,181 units in the first eight months of this year, down 9.2 percent from the corresponding period of 2012, according to the latest data provided by the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on Monday.
The monthly imports of automobiles and chassis reached 101,660 units in July, down 5.6 percent from July.
