China's auto retail sales up 8.4% in January-May

China?ˉs auto retail sales January May

China’s auto retail sales totaled 1.077 trillion yuan in the first five months of this year, up 8.4% percent from a year ago, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

 

The growth rate was up 0.3 percentage points from that in the first four months of 2013.

 

In May, auto retails totaled 233.3 billion yuan, representing an increase of 9.7% from the corresponding period of 2012.

 

Auto production in China amounted to 9.727 million units in the first five months of this year, up 15.4% year on year, said the NBS on Sunday.
