China’s auto retail sales amounted to 623.6 billion yuan in the first quarter of this year, up 6.4% year on year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In March, auto retail sales came to 218.9 billion yuan, representing an increase of 5.5% from the same period of last year.
Auto production inChinatotaled 5.792 million motor vehicles in the first three months ended March 31, up 13.5% year on year, with output in March up 12.4% year on year at 2.29 million units, according to the NBS.
