China auto imports down 28.8% on year in Jan-Feb

China’s auto and chassis imports totaled 131,235 units in the first two months of 2013, according to the latest data provided by the General Administration of Customs on Friday.

The import figure was down 20.8% from the corresponding period of 2012.

In February, the country’s auto and chassis imports came to 60,863 units, down 13.5% from the previous month, said the GAC in a file published on its website.
