China’s export value of aluminum alloy wheels reached 336 million US dollars in June 2012, up 9.8% year on year.
The country delivered 72,400 metric tons of such wheels to overseas markets in June, a slight increase of 3.1% year on year, with average price at 4.64 US dollars per kilogram, up 0.28 US dollars/km from the same period of last year.
In January-June,China’s aluminum alloy wheel exports gained 5.6% year on year to 403,600 metric tons, valued at 1.896 billion US dollars, a surge of 13.9% over the corresponding period of 2011. The average price stood at 4.70 US dollars/kg, 0.34 US dollars/kg more than a year earlier.
China’s domestically produced alloy wheels were sold to 167 countries or regions around the world in the first half of this year.

During the first half of this year, the value of alloy wheels exported to the above 20 countries or regions totaled 1.710 billion US dollars, accounting for 90.2% ofChina’s total alloy wheel exports during the period.
Also in the first six months of 2012, there were a total of 2,201 tire makers that delivered alloy wheels to overseas markets.

The above 20 enterprises realized combined export value of 1.021 billion US dollars in the first half of this year, accounting for 53.8% of China’s total aluminum alloy wheel exports, while the Top 100 wheel exporting enterprises posted combined export value of 1.656 billion US dollars during the period, representing 87.3% of China’s total.
