China auto output gains 7.6% on year in January-August, NBS

China manufactured 13.34 million motor vehicles in the first eight months of 2012, a rise of 7.6% from the same period of last year, according to the statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Sunday (September 9, 2012).
China’s monthly auto output in August came to 1.583 million, up 8.2% year on year.
Meanwhile,China’s auto retail sales during the period of January to August amounted to 1.478 trillion yuan, up 7.7% from the corresponding period of 2011.
