China sold 9.72 million motorcycles in the first five months of this year, a drop of 9.8 percent year on year, according to the latest statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
China's motorcycle output in January to May totaled 9.61 million units, a 10.7 percent decline from the corresponding period of last year.
In May, China's motorcycle sales came to 2.11 million units, up 6.5 percent month on month but down 7.9 percent year on year, while the monthly motorcycle output gained 4.1 percent from the preceding month but fell 10.1 percent from a year earlier to 2.08 million units.
