China automobile production increase 28.48% in February 2012

According to statistics and analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM)￡?the amount of China’s auto production was 1,608,700 units in February, increase 23.79% compared with last month, and up 28.48% compared with the same period of last year. Among main automobile categories, production of passenger cars was 1,261,500 units, higher than the previous 19.74% and up 31.26% year on year; the output of commercial vehicle was 347,200 units, higher than the previous 41.15 percent, and increase 19.31% compared with the same period of last year.

From January to February this year, China automobile production reached 2,903,500 units, a decrease of 4.93% compared with the same period of last year; Production of passenger cars was 2,315,000 units, down 1.68 percent year on year; the output of commercial vehicle was 588,500 units, decreased by 15.87% compared with the same period of last year.
